Water supply at Rawhead – Barnes and Cottage

Members have reported that the water supply is not fit for consumption. If you are visiting in the immediate future please take with you a supply of bottled water sufficient for your needs and deduct the cost from your hut fees.
The warden will try and get a stock of water to the hut as soon as possible but there are challenges- he may contact you and ask you to buy a stock of water to take for everyone to use or you could please volunteer to help him out as you are visiting anyway.

I guess there is an issue with freezing temperatures interrupting the supply.
There is already a stock of bottled water at Birkness for similar contingencies and the warden at Brackenclose will no doubt spot the need to cover the possibility of supply being interrupted.”
