Clogwyn Y Person Arete for Sunrise
We have been lucky enough to have a settled spell of high pressure in Snowdonia this week. Keen to make the most of it Tarquin and I met at 5:00am in the Llanberis Pass on Tuesday morning and headed up to do the Clogwyn Y Person Arete as the sun came up. We walked a bit quicker than I had planned for and so had a bit of hanging around at the base of the route whilst we waited for the light. I got a couple of shots in the blue hour lower down on the route and then we loitered some more until the sun came up directly behind Crib Goch at about 7:15. Poor Tarquin was then sent up and down and left and right as I clicked away furiously! We hit the ridge of Crib Y Ddsgyl still within the golden hour and made our way across to the summit of Garnedd Ugain. The winds were perfect for a flight off and so I took the easy route down to Llanberis on my paraglider. A great mini adventure.
