WAREHOUSE UPDATE: 21 MAY 2020
While it’s unclear as to exactly when it’ll be, it does look as though we will be opening our doors again in the not too distant future as some of the current restrictions and regulations are being relaxed. When we do open though, what is clear is that some things are likely to be a little different than they were just a few months ago. Undoubtedly there will be changes in the way we operate for a while – although we can’t quite be sure of all of them at the moment.
We’re reviewing guidance from the Government and the good people at the ABC on the regulations and what they specifically mean for climbing centres. We are busy planning for new procedures that may need to be put in place – hygiene, capacity, and social distancing criteria are the key areas we’re looking at implementing to keep both you and our team safe. Things like PPE, screens, contact tracing, groups sizes, routes spaced far apart, phased opening hours and pre-booked time slots are all on a long list of considerations for the possible future. We will of course keep you updated as & when we know anything definite.
While we can’t offer our walls to keep you healthy and happy at the moment, we are enjoying the ‘virtual’ side of keeping your mind & body active! Not least our online yoga classes, sharing training tips from the team and of course our weekly Quiz Nights! Setting up the Pizza Takeaway service and the chance to offer something back to our local community and the amazing NHS keyworkers has been really enjoyable, so it hasn’t been all bad. Also, this enforced pause in operations has given us the opportunity to give the building some TLC and make some improvements around the centre for when you return – watch this space for further details over the coming weeks.
