I was joined today by Julie, Ben, Ben and Andy for our contour only, advanced navigation day. As the name suggests we spend the day looking at navigation in the mountains using some maps that I have had made specifically to only show contour information and major streams and water features. Its a brilliant way of getting your head tuned into contours which are always the most accurate representation on any map. The day attracts a CPD point for MTA members and so its always a pleasure to get a good depth of experience from the people that attend. It has been rather damp once again but that didn’t diminish the enthusiasm levels and we had a great day of all things contour!
