Climbing Community • PMRP Parking at Bald Rock Campground
I spoke with the folks at the Bald Rock Campground at the top of the hill on Sunday regarding the parking situation along the road. They are offering their property as free parking for those who don't want to risk going down the hill. It's awfully kind of them to do that without asking for anything but I imagine they're just trying to bring in some business. There were a few cars parked near the house across from the cemetery so for the sake of avoiding any future conflict with the locals it probably makes sense to take them up on the offer if you're not planning on going down the hill. The owners are very nice people with big plans for the property, my wife and I have stayed there a few times and it is a very nice campground. The bath houses are really nice and clean, its quiet, great views at the edge of the property, and a trail that leads down to the lode from the campground. I'm not being paid for this post btw, just wanted to get the info out there.
