Jim Braven

We have just heard from his wife Kath that Dr Jim Braven, a long standing CC member since 1962, died on 4th April 2021 aged 83, 2 weeks short of his 84th birthday. We offer condolences to his wife Kath, family and friends.

Jim lived at Yelverton on Dartmoor and was formerly Professor of Biochemistry at Plymouth University. He was active in the development of climbing at Chudleigh Rocks in Devon between 1961 and 1963 with Frank Cannings and former CC members such as Peter Biven, Barrie Biven and Clifford Fishwick.
