Climbing in Cuba has existed since the late 20th Century, when foreigners from America became aware of the potential for development in areas such as Viñales. Unfortunately, it’s also illegal in many areas so the locals must avoid attracting too much attention. With the help of guidebook author Armando Menocal and local climber Tito Pimente, filmmaker Ramón Ruiz Sampaio explores the history of climbing in Cuba.
