I should clarify. The handle didn't rip. The plastic bag part where the handle is attached is ripped. And there's no point in trying to sew it back since the plastic bag part is disintegrating.
Saw a dude with similar non-alps :( Aldi tote at the pool the other day. Might have to pick up one of those.
Oh and what's the deal with people who carry a crashpad and then wear a backpack over their chest? I feel like that's wrong on so many levels.
