Cotopaxi - Back in Business!
Just over 2 years ago, Cotopaxi started an eruption phase that lasted almost 6 months. Since the first eruption, the summit and upper mountain have been closed to climbing. The Ecuadorian government reopened the peak to climbing October 6. Mountain Madness has resumed summit climbs and treks around Cotopaxi and, in fact, are operating our 2nd Cotopaxi expedition since it re-opened.
