The hammering is the mechanism to set the cone to allow for tightening. The Legacy doesn't require that. If you do go with Powers, I would recommend using some Vibra-tite VC3 to help prevent loosening.

There has also been a group in Colorado that went to a 13 mm bit to prevent spinners and pretty extensive testing on it and worked with engineers at Powers. They have had good results that.
