Pyeongchang, South Korea (dpa) - Germany‘s dominance of the luge continued at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang with gold in the relay on Thursday.The team of Natalie Geisenberger, Johannes Ludwig, Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt romped home in a tournament-record time of 2 minutes 24.517 seconds, ahead of Canada in second and Austria in third, to add yet another medal to the pile."We‘re enjoying the moment, we‘ve done something that was very important to us and for which we‘ve worked hard for four years," Geisenberger said.Germany coach Norbert Loch held up six fingers to the crowd to indicate the his team‘s outstanding six-medal haul. "Six is sensational," Loch said.The victory meant a record fourth career Olympic gold in luge for both Geisenberger and doubles pair Wendl and Arlt. Geisenberger had already taken gold in Pyeongchang in the women‘s singles event and Wendl and Arlt the doubles.Meanwhile Ludwig added relay gold to the bronze medal he‘d won in the men‘s singles.The win means back-to-back Olympic titles for Germany in the relay after they won the event in its debut year at Sochi 2014.And Tobias Arlt was already looking forward to Friday‘s medal ceremony."Taking the podium tomorrow will be amazing, a huge moment for us."
