Arsenal ace David Luiz ‘almost takes Kante’s head off’ with karate kick tackle during Chelsea clash
DAVID LUIZ showed he is no sentimentalist after kung-fu kicking former team-mate N’Golo Kante in the head.
Chelsea fans were aghast that the Arsenal defender raised his foot to the Frenchman’s cheek during their thrilling 2-1 win.
But there was no punishment for Luiz, who moved from West to North London over the summer for a knock-down £8million.
During his commentary on Sky Sports, Manchester United legend Gary Neville said: “I have to say that’s unorthodox and stupid from David Luiz.
“He just follows through ridiculously, I’m not sure he makes contact but what is he doing?
“It’s a ridiculous thing to do, he’s played so well, the team have played so well, then you see that.
“You think about what [Heung-min] Son got sent off for in the game against Chelsea last week then you see that. ‘That’s just ridiculous, look at Kante, he looks towards the referee and says, ‘you gonna allow that?’.”

Luiz, one of the heroes of Munich in 2012 and a two-time Premier League winner, is experienced enough to know what trouble this would get himself into.
But there was no card for this challenge just before half time from Craig Pawson.
As if Luiz somehow knew he had been lucky to get away with it, his name was taken down just after half time for a different offence.
Arsenal’s loopy defence were not reliable enough to keep out resurgent Chelsea though as Bernd Leno’s error gifted Jorginho an equaliser after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s first-half opener.

Then as Mikel Arteta’s side pushed for a winner, they were caught on the counter attack.
Willian’s run and square ball to Tammy Abraham was good.
But it was Luiz who did not get close enough to the England striker, who was allowed to turn in the box, shoot and score the winner.
