As you are aware, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will be held at venues across Birmingham and the West Midlands from Saturday 29 July through to Monday 8 August 2022.  (Applicants do not need to be available for the entire duration of the Games – as each sport’s Medal Ceremonies are individually scheduled).

Progress Productions (the team responsible for producing Sport Presentation & Medal Ceremonies for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games) is delighted to offer this exciting opportunity!

This opportunity would be ideal for senior athletes who are unlikely to make Games time selection, ex judoka or family/friends of athletes who would really relish at being a part of the medal moments. Overall Progress Productions are looking for enthusiastic and truly passionate volunteers to play an integral role in delivering Medal Ceremonies in venues across Birmingham and the West Midlands. They are seeking;

– Medal Bearers

– Athlete Escorts

– Presenter Escorts

Volunteers will be a part of the ceremonial line-up and proudly step out with the athletes and dignitaries as they make their way out on to the Field of Play. They will not only act as chaperones, but also have the responsibility of greeting and briefing the medallists and VIPs.
