It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of British Judo legend Tony MacConnell who passed away over the weekend. Tony was a much loved member of the British Judo family, and tributes have been pouring in from across the country to celebrate the life of the former athlete and coach.
Montreal, July 7, 2019 – While being only 21 years old, Ontarian Shady El Nahas continued his explosive rise on the international scene on Sunday on the last day of the Montreal Judo Grand Prix. The rising star of the Canadian team won a silver medal in the -100 kg category.
Montreal, July 6, 2019 – After the gold, silver and bronze medals won by Canadian athletes on the first day of the tournament, two silver and two bronze medals were added to the collection at the Montreal Judo Grand Prix on Saturday.

This weekend sees the International Judo Federation World Judo Tour head to Canada for the inaugural Montreal Grand Prix. This is the first time the IJF Grand Prix has been staged in Montreal and the event will run from 5th to 7th July.
