PARIS, July 31 (Xinhua) -- World No. 1 Lasha Bekauri of Georgia successfully defended his 90kg title at the Paris Olympics, while three-time Olympian Barbara Matic won Croatia's first-ever Olympic gold medal in judo here on Wednesday.
Bekauri defeated Sanshiro Murao of Japan in the final by two waza-ari, earning his second consecutive Olympic gold medal and Georgia's first gold in Paris. Maxime-Gael Ngayap Hambo
