Announcing the Atlantic District Spring Officiating Seminars for 2016-17

The Atlantic District Officiating Program has announced that there will be additional USA Hockey Officiating Seminars for the 2016-2017 season, which will take place as follows:

  • Level 1 and Level 2 - Sunday, April 09, 2017 at Ice Works in Aston, PA. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM, seminar to start at 9:00 AM. Seminar Registration closes on April 8, 2017
  • Level 1 and Level 2 - Saturday, April 01, 2017 at Floyd Hall Arena in Montclair, NJ. Registration will begin at 10:00 AM, seminar to start at 10:30 AM. Seminar Registration closes on March 31, 2017

Registration for these seminars will be accepted beginning on February 1, 2017 at http://www.usahockey.com/officialseminars, however officials must first register as an official at https://www.usahockeyregistration.com by March 27, 2017. If you do not complete your registration with USA Hockey you will not be able to attend this seminar. Any official not registered will be turned away the day of the seminar. There will be no exceptions to this process.

Training will be offered for new officials (registering at Level 1) and returning officials (registering at Level 1 or Level 2). Level 3 certification will not be offered at this seminar, please contact jfranchetti@aaharefs.org for Level 3 officials who would like to take a seminar. Officials who are already completely registered at Level 1 for the 2016-2017 season are not eligible to attend these seminars to advance to Level 2.

It is also important to note that this seminar covers the officiating registration requirement (and level 2 closed book exam) for the 2016-2017 only. Officials attending this seminar will have to complete their registration and certification process (open-book, online modules, Safe Sport (if necessary)) by May 10, 2017 for the 2016-2017 season.

Check-in begins at the time indicated on the schedule. Walk-up registrations will not be accepted. The Level 1 seminar is expected to last 7 hours and the Level 2 Seminar is expected to last 6 hours. There will not be a break for lunch, please bring a snack and drink.
