2 New Hockey VPs!

Whilst we still have important cup and play-off matches ahead, it is clear we have continued our steady progress with Ladies 1's and 3's and Men's 2's and 3's all winning their leagues, congratulations to them, well done ! Many thanks to Andy and Richard for organising a really enjoyable "Oscars" at the club last night. I have mentioned before how important our volunteers are. In recognition of those who have supported the club over a number of years the Executive from time to time appoint Vice-Presidents. I am delighted to confirm that Teresa Hadfield and Kelvin Briggs have been appointed Vice Presidents in recognition of their enormous contributions over the last 10 years or so. I can't think of any more deserving volunteers. Teresa has served on both the AECC General Committee and the Hockey Executive and helped many initiatives for a number of years. Her organisation of our Umpires and refreshments at the Shed is appreciated by all of us on a weekly basis. As I'm sure you'll agree, Kelvin's contributions to AEHC would make a very long list. I would however single out his leadership to fund the "Edge",our excellent Hockey Camps, his unending support for our Juniors and constant enthusiasm and initiative to push AEHC forward as being truly fantastic. Our thanks to both of them. Good luck in all our remaining matches and I look forward to seeing many of you at our end of season Dinner Dance on April 23rd at Hilltop House .   GrahamBryant President AEHC
