Spruce Kings Shutout in Game 3 Loss
For the second time this series, Eliot Séguin-Lescarbeau shutout the Prince George Spruce Kings, as the Nanaimo Clippers won Game 3 by a 4-0 score.
Jack Rimmer got the Clippers on the board at 14:21 when Hayden Fechner’s pass deflected off his skate and in to make it 1-0.
Tanner Bruender scored four on four in the middle frame as his shot deflected off a Spruce Kings defender and past Colin Reay to make it 2-0.
Off a delayed penalty in the third, Blake Jones capitalized and made it 3-0 at 8:31 as the Spruce Kings couldn’t get control of the puck after the delayed infraction.
The Clippers put an empty netter home at 17:37 as Reay was on the bench early as Prince George pushed for a goal to break the deadlock.
The Spruce Kings will look to force the series back to Prince George in Game 4 on Wednesday night at Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo.
