The Prince George Spruce Kings are pleased to announce the commitment of 2008 born forward Rhett Tubello for the 2026-2027 season.

Tubello is 5’10, 170 pounds from Kelowna BC who has played the last three seasons with Rink Hockey Academy in Kelowna.  This season at the U18 Prep level, Tubello scored 14 goals and added 14 assists as Rink won the CSSHL Western Championships.  He will join his Rink teammate Max Reed with the Spruce Kings next season.

Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes: “Rhett is a very responsible player who excels in all areas. He fits the mold of what we look for in a player. We’re excited to add him to our group.”

Rhett Tubello: “I am excited to join the Spruce Kings because of the competitive culture, past success, and the reputation they’ve built as an organization that truly supports and develops its players. It’s a place where I know I’ll be pushed to grow while also being welcomed as part of a team!”

The Spruce Kings open the 2026 Rogers BCHL Playoffs Friday April 3rd against the Langley Rivermen at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $17 for Adults, $14 for Seniors, and $6 for Youth 6-18.
