Broncos bring back RB J.K. Dobbins on 2-year deal

Broncos leading rusher J.K. Dobbins is sticking with Denver on a two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.

The deal will not become official until Wednesday, when the new NFL year begins.

Dobbins, 27, rushed for 772 yards and four touchdowns on 153 carries in his first season in Denver, adding 11 receptions for 37 yards to help the team reach the AFC championship game.

Since making his NFL debut in 2020 with the Baltimore Ravens, Dobbins' 5.2 rushing average and 14.7 "big play" rushing percentage (10-plus-yard rushes) rank third among running backs with a minimum of 500 rushing attempts.

In six seasons with the Ravens (who selected him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft), Los Angeles Chargers and Broncos, Dobbins has compiled 3,024 rushing yards on 582 attempts and 25 scores in 47 games (30 starts). As a receiver, he's caught 70 passes for 367 yards and one touchdown.

In four career playoff games (one start), the former Ohio State star has rushed for 173 yards and one score on 43 carries, and has eight catches for 88 yards and a touchdown.
