The Raptors took a two-point lead into the fourth quarter. The margin increased to seven on Quickley's 3-pointer with 8:06 to play. The Jazz persisted and crept to within five with 4:26 left. Collier made a pair of free throws to bump the lead to six with 4:54 remaining. Markkanen completed the first-half scoring after blocking a shot and a two-handed jam on the rebound of his own layup to give Utah a 56-51 lead. The Jazz had a 31-19 advantage in rebounds in the first half.

Toronto scored the first six points of the third quarter to lead by one. The Jazz chipped away and Markkanen's three-point play put them ahead by four with 7:45 left. The Raptors responded with an 8-0 run to lead by four with 5:08 remaining in a sloppy third quarter. Toronto led 86-84 after three quarters.
