Bobcats Complete Trade with Rebels
The Bismarck Bobcats have completed a trade with the Philadelphia Rebels sending forward Jordan Mayo and a 3rd round draft pick to the Rebels in exchange for forward Alex Lunski.
Mayo, an ‘08 birth year, was in his 1st year with the Bobcats. In 31 games this season Mayo notched 1 goal to go along with 7 assists for a total of 8 points. Mayo’s 1st career NAHL goal came just a few weekends ago against the Minot Minotauros. “I really enjoyed my time in Bismarck and I’m thankful for my coaches, bullets, and teammates. I enjoyed my experience and am grateful for my time here, Mayo said.”
Bobcats General Manager and Director of Scouting Niko Kapetanovic praised Mayo and is excited for him to continue his success in Philadelphia. “We want to thank Jordy for everything he gave Bismarck. Jordy is a very good player and will continue to be a very good player with an expanded role in Philadelphia. The entire staff wishes Jordy nothing but the best.
Lunski, an ‘05 birth year, is a Chanhassen, MN native. Standing at 6’4 216 LBS he adds a great deal of size to the Bobcat lineup. In 35 games this season, Lunski has tallied 11 goals and added on 16 assists for a total of 27 points. “I’m really excited to join the Bobcats and be part of a great organization. I look forward to contributing positively to the team and give the fans what they want. I couldn’t be more pumped to get going, Lunski said.”
Kapetanovic mentioned his excitement for Lunski to join the Bobcats and provide an additional push in the 2nd half. “Alex is another player I have had the pleasure to coach, who is a winner, a competitor, and will mesh well with our group. His size and skating mixed with his high end skill will make him a matchup nightmare. We are excited to have Alex in Bismarck to help our team push in the back half of the year.”
The Bismarck Bobcats are back in action this weekend to take on the Aberdeen Wings on the road. Puck drop is set for 7:15 P.M. both Friday and Saturday Night.
