Nanaimo Clippers Sign Defenseman Maxime Lapointe

NANAIMO, B.C. — The Nanaimo Clippers have signed 2006 born left shot defenseman Maxime Lapointe, adding size, strength, and experience to their blue line.

Lapointe is a strong and mobile defender who plays with an edge, bringing a defense-first mindset to the Clippers. He arrives with CHL experience, 52 games played, and has previously played alongside Kay, Boisvert and Béland, giving him familiarity with current members of the Clippers.

“Max is big, strong, and mobile with an edge,” said Clippers Head Coach and General Manager Colin Birkas. “He brings experience and a defense first mentality. We felt we had a need for the exact type of player that he is, and are thrilled to have him join our organization.”

The Nanaimo Clippers welcome Maxime and his family to the organization.
