Bills add WR Josh Palmer to players ruled out vs. Jaguars
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Josh Palmer was downgraded to out for Sunday's AFC wild-card game against the host Jacksonville Jaguars, joining starting linebacker Terrel Bernard, cornerback Maxwell Hairston and safety Damar Hamlin on the list of those out of action.
Palmer, who started in eight of his 12 games during his first season with the Bills, did not practice all week because of an ankle injury. The former Los Angeles Chargers wideout had 22 receptions for 303 yards during the regular season.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced Friday that Bernard (calf), Hairston (ankle) and Hamlin (pectoral) will sit out. Bernard and Hairston did not participate in practice on either Wednesday or Thursday, while Hamlin was limited both days after his window to return from injured reserve opened this week.
Kicker Matt Prater (right quad) did not practice Friday.
"We'll see where and how he trends heading into the weekend," McDermott said of Prater.
McDermott said linebacker Shaq Thompson (neck) will be listed as questionable for the Bills (12-5) against the Jaguars (13-4).
