NANAIMO CLIPPERS SIGN NAHL DEFENSEMAN SCORING LEADER BLAKE JONES
NANAIMO, B.C. — The Nanaimo Clippers have signed Blake Jones, a 2005-born left-shot defenseman from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jones joins the Clippers from the New Jersey Jr. Titans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).
“Blake is a talented player that we are excited to add to our roster,” said Clippers Head Coach and General Manager Colin Birkas. “We have been scouting Blake for a while and are very happy with how his game has developed. With over 80 games of junior hockey under his belt, he is going to add to our experienced backend.”
Jones served as captain of the Jr. Titans and leads all NAHL defensemen in scoring. He will bring leadership, offensive production, and poise to the Clippers’ blue line, strengthening an already experienced defensive group.
The Clippers would like to welcome Blake and his family to the organization and the Nanaimo community.
