0 13

Devin Booker hit a 3-pointer with 0.7 seconds left, reserve guard Jordan Goodwin had career highs of 26 points and eight 3-pointers and the host Phoenix Suns avenged the worst loss in franchise history with a 108-105 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.

Booker finished with 24 points and Dillon Brooks scored 14 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter for the Suns, who ended the game on a 14-5 run and overcame an 18-point second-quarter deficit. Phoenix dominated the boards with a 49-29 rebounding advantage and turned 12 offensive rebounds into 14 second-chance points.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 25 points, Jalen Williams added 23 and Chet Holmgren had 18 and nine rebounds for the Thunder, who had a four-game winning streak broken.

Oklahoma City blew out the visiting Suns 138-89 on Dec. 10 in the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup but is 6-5 since. Booker did not play in that game.

Pistons 114, Cavaliers 110

Cade Cunningham had 27 points, six rebounds and seven assists, and Daniss Jenkins scored 21 of his 25 points in the second quarter, giving the Eastern Conference-leading Detroit a tight victory over host Cleveland.

Jenkins went 7-of-7 from the field, 6-of-6 on 3-point attempts and 1-of-1 from the foul line while playing all 12 minutes in the second. The Pistons made all 21 of their free-throw attempts in the game with Cunningham sinking 11. Duncan Robinson had 12 points and Javonte Green scored 11 off the bench as Detroit won for the second time in its last five contests.

The Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell finished with 30 points -- 23 in the second half -- and fellow guard Darius Garland had 16 points and six assists. Cleveland had a three-game winning streak snapped and went 2-1 on its homestand.

Magic 135, Pacers 127

Powered by a monstrous second quarter and 31 points from Desmond Bane, Orlando handed visiting Indiana a record-tying 12th straight loss.

Paolo Banchero scored 28 points and Anthony Black added 27 for the Magic, who scored 41 points in the second quarter to turn a 12-point deficit into a 13-point lead.

Pascal Siakam posted a game-high 34 points for the Pacers and Aaron Nesmith had 25. Indiana matched three previous 12-game losing streaks in franchise annals -- the last one during the 1988-89 season. The Pacers can break the dubious record on Tuesday when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Nets 127, Nuggets 115

Michael Porter Jr. collected 27 points and 11 rebounds against his former team as host Brooklyn led most of the way in the victory over Denver.

Porter made eight of 17 shots after sitting out the previous two games due to illness. Porter had his seventh double-double this season and also made all nine free-throw attempts and handed out five assists. Noah Clowney added 22 for the Nets.

Jamal Murray scored 20 of his 27 points in the second half and also set a career-high with 16 assists, but the Nuggets lost for the sixth time in nine games. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 26 and Aaron Gordon contributed 20 off the bench in his return from a strained right hamstring.

Heat 125, Pelicans 106

Norman Powell scored a game-high 34 points, leading host Miami to a victory over New Orleans.

The Heat's Nikola Jovic added 19 points off the bench, and Kel'el Ware had a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Miami pulled away with a 21-2 third-quarter run, winning for the fifth time in its past six games.

The Pelicans, who have lost seven straight games, were led by Trey Murphy III with 27 points. Rookie Jeremiah Fears added 21 points, but star Zion Williamson was held to 12 points, 11 under his average.

Timberwolves 141, Wizards 115

Anthony Edwards scored 35 points, Rudy Gobert finished with 18 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks and Minnesota dominated in a blowout of host Washington.

Edwards also grabbed six rebounds, dished three assists and his four steals contributed to Minnesota forcing 19 Washington turnovers. Jaden McDaniels, Jaylen Clark and Donte DiVincenzo added to the defensive pressure with three steals each. Julius Randle joined Gobert and Edwards scoring in double-figures with 22 points.

CJ McCollum led the Wizards with 20 points. Tre Johnson and Corey Kispert each added 13 points and Khris Middleton finished with 10 for Washington, which was unsuccessful in its pursuit of stringing together three consecutive wins for the first time this season.

Bucks 115, Kings 98

Giannis Antetokounmpo had a game-high 37 points in 32 minutes, Kevin Porter Jr. added 25 and Milwaukee opened a four-game western swing with a victory over host Sacramento.

Antetokounmpo hit 13 of 17 shots from the field and 11 of his 13 free throws en route to his 12th performance this season with more points than minutes played. He also had 11 rebounds, completing his 12th double-double of the year. Porter also finished with a double-double, adding a game-high 10 assists for the Bucks, who won for the fourth time in their last five games.

Russell Westbrook had a team-high 21 points for the Kings along with six rebounds, three assists, four steals and three blocks. Sacramento was held under 100 points for the sixth time this season en route to its fifth straight defeat.

Jake LaRavia also scored 26 points and Deandre Ayton added 15 as the Lakers followed a 128-121 victory over the Grizzlies on Friday with another Sunday to win consecutive games for the first time since Dec. 14-18.

Memphis led by as many as 16 points in the first half and was up 65-54 at the break with a 29-18 rebounding advantage and a 34-22 edge with points in the paint. Jaylen Wells scored 23 points for the Grizzlies, while Cedric Coward added 16 points with eight rebounds in the first half. The rookie did not play after halftime because of an ankle injury.
