1972 Munich Olympics bronze medal-winning hockey goalkeeper Manuel Frederick dies
Manuel Frederick, a celebrated former Indian hockey goalkeeper, has passed away in Bengaluru. He was 78. Frederick was part of the 1972 Munich Olympics bronze medal-winning team. He was also the first athlete from Kerala to win an Olympic medal. His career spanned seven years with the national team. He represented India in two World Cups.
