This Beauty Dropped 6 Years Ago Today

Early in this week's excellent Bill Atanasoff episode of Toronto Mike'd (all praise should be directed at FOTM Hall of Famer Peter Gross) Peter gave us a John Gallagher health update. When last on Toronto Mike'd, he talked about his transient ischemic attack (TIA), essentially a minor stroke. Peter has also had one. Both seemed to recover nicely.

This week's John Gallagher update from Peter Gross is more concerning. According to Peter, John has suffered a more serious stroke and is still hospitalized. This news saddened me.

It was 6 years ago today that I dropped 10 episodes of a new podcast experience we called Gallagher and Gross Save the World. I don't think I've had more fun working on a podcast series. We recorded those first 10 episodes in-person in my home basement studio and the results were incredible.

COVID-19 unravelled our plans, as John Gallagher bunkered down and then sold his Toronto home and moved back to Nova Scotia. I commented at the time that Gallagher and Gross Save the World was just too beautiful for this world.
