The Kings are excited to announce the signing of forward Tyler Dahms.

The 19 year old comes to the Kings after winning a MJHL championship with the Northern Manitoba Blizzard in his rookie season. Now set to take the next step, Dahms is looking forward to the new opportunity. “I am very excited to come to Powell River. One, because of the great things I’ve heard about the program and two, the way coach Seeger runs the program. I also feel it will be key for my development to play in a place with great expectations.”

In 34 regular season games with the Blizzard, Dahms racked up 14 goals and 10 assists. When the playoffs came about, he ramped up his game and amassed 3 goals and 12 assists in 16 contests on the way to a league title. His 15 points in the postseason was tied for the most in the league. Then in the Centennial Cup, Dahms collected 4 points in 5 games as the Blizzard were ousted in the quarter finals. “Tyler brings speed, deception, and compete everywhere he goes on the ice.” says Head Coach and G.M. Stephan Seeger Jr. “We believe Tyler will be exciting for fans to watch. He likes to score and make plays, and will do so with a lot of pace.”

Hailing from Omaha Nebraska, Dahms is aiming to make his mark both on and off the ice in Powell River. “I want to better myself as a player on the ice and in the community. I would love to make a great impact for the team and use my abilities to help the team win.”
