Joe Bowen to Retire After 44 Years Calling Leafs Games

Holy Mackinaw! Joe Bowen has announced he's retiring after the 2025-2026 NHL season. Joe's been calling Leafs games for over four decades.
On the app formerly known as Twitter, Joe wrote:
After 44 years of being the voice of your Toronto Maple Leafs, I have decided the 2025-26 season will be my last behind the microphone. I will reach over 3,800 games some time this season. Thanks so very much for all who have made this wonderful career possible!
Joey Bowen is 74 and recently collaborated with Great Lakes Brewery on a Holy Mackinaw Lager. I got to hang with him at the GLB Brew Pub during the launch and he told me he won't do any podcasts while working for MLSE.
I'm hopefully he'll drop by next spring for his exit interview. Bless you Joe!
