My Final Tweet
I loved Twitter. It was the only social media app I truly enjoyed, and I tweeted often. From 2008 when I joined until Elon Musk bought the company, I wasn't only engaged but I was attending Twitter Canada events and I even befrieded the Director of Communications.
A lot of the bloom fell off the rose when Musk took over and cleared out the Twitter Canada office, but I held on until Trump was re-elected in November 2024. That's when I stopped checking Twitter. But I didn't stop tweeting, because I had built up such a following there I thought it would be good business to paste promotional posts I was writing for Bluesky. So I did that, until today.
Today, during my chat with Mike Wilner, I realized that it was time to truly quit Twitter. So today I posted my final tweet under the current ownership.
If you followed me on Twitter, and miss my musings, follow me on Bluesky. That's where you'll find me.
This Bluesky post serves no other purpose than to give me something I can embed on torontomike.com since I can't seem to embed my feed. So follow me on Bluesky at bsky.app/profile/toro... and let the good times roll.
