Defenseman Matthew Rafalski Set to Play in 100th Career NAHL Game This Friday

0 15

Bobcat defenseman Matthew Rafalski is hitting the century mark in games played in his NAHL career. Rafalski has spent both seasons in the NAHL with the Bobcats. Throughout his tenure, Rafalski has scored 16 goals and added on 49 assists for a total of 65 points in 99 games so far. He is also a +30 in that span. Rafalski reflected on his career so far and how the first 100 games have flown by. “It feels good. Obviously playing with the same team all 100 games is a big accomplishment. It feels good to do that, and I couldn’t imagine a different team to play for, I can’t wait,” Rafalski said.

Rafalski is committed to continue both his academic and collegiate hockey career next year at Stonehill College (NCAA DI). Don’t let that fool you, however, as his mind is dead set on the end goal of the season, which is hoisting the Robertson Cup. “College is a huge stepping stone, but we obviously want to finish the job this year and get a championship. That’s what it’s all about. With this group, there’s no one I’d rather do it with,” Rafalski mentioned.

You can catch Matthew Rafalski in action along with the rest of the Bobcats this weekend as they take on the Austin Bruins. Puck drop is set for 7:15 P.M. both Friday and Saturday night. Get your tickets by calling the Bobcat Hotline at 390-7422 or log onto our website at BismarckBobcats.com before they’re all gone!
