Kings add trio of players ahead of roster deadline.
With the February 10th roster deadline right around the corner, the Kings have added 3 new players in Quentin Harvie, Dante Ersoni, and Nathan Lebrasseaur.
Harvie (pictured) is a 19 year old forward from across the water in Comox and he will get a chance to play closer to home after spending the last two seasons on the east coast with the New Jersey Rockets in the NCDC. He played in 84 total games for Rockets over his tenure, this season in 10 less games he has tripled his point total from the previous campaign. In 37 games he has scored 8 times and has picked up 19 assists and was third in team scoring. Harvie also comes to the Kings with a handful BCHL games under his belt as he suited up 4 times as an affiliate for the Merritt Centennials during the 2022-23 season.
Ersoni is a Montreal product who has played the last two season in Ontario with the CCHL’s Cornwall Colts. The 19 year old 6’3″ left shot defender has amassed 79 games for the Colts and like Harvie has surpassed his point total from last season in fewer games. This year he has found the back of the net 3 times and has collected 13 assists in 37 games.
Lebrasseur is the youngest of the three new additions being only 17 years old. The defenseman from Sept-Îles, Quebec comes to the Kings from the Champlain St. Lawrence Lions of the Quebec College Hockey League. In 24 games for the first place Lions, the young blueliner has 2 goals and 7 assists. Lebrasseur is also a fourth round pick of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the 2023 QMJHL Entry Draft.
All three are expected to be in the lineup this weekend when the Kings host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs for two games this Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 5pm. Kids 12 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult thanks to Sunshine Coast Health Centre.
