Tracy Moore and Cheryl Hickey Gone From CityTV

Do you remember when Rogers-owned Citytv cancelled CityLine after 40 years and said they were going to add a fifth live hour to Breakfast Television and that this hour would feature CityLine host Tracy Moore? Long-time Entertainment Tonight Canada host Cheryl Hickey was even going to join her. Well, this never happened, and now Rogers Sports & Media have pulled the plug on the whole idea.

Broadcast Dialogue secured this quote from Rogers PR.

We’re always assessing our television schedule to ensure we deliver programming that will build strong audiences, and we’ve decided not to move forward with the development of a new national hour of Breakfast Television.

Tracy has been an invaluable contributor over her almost 20-year career with Citytv and we look forward to doing more work with her as an independent producer. Cheryl has earned a strong reputation as one of Canada’s leading television entertainment hosts and we wish her continued success.
