Spruce Kings Commit to River Arnason

The Prince George Spruce Kings are pleased to announce the commitment of 2008 born forward River Arnason for the 2025-2026 season.

Arnason is 5’9”, 152-pounds from Winnipeg, MB who has spent the last three seasons playing for Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League.

In 27 games this season with the U18 Prep team, Arnason has 23 goals and 24 assists for 47 points. Last season, he had three goals and three assists in eight call-up games, while putting up 14 goals and 27 assists for 41 points with the U17 Prep team.

Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes: “River is a very dynamic player whose hockey IQ and offensive abilities are extraordinary. We are thrilled that he chose our organization for his development.”

River Arnason: “I am thrilled and proud to have the opportunity to join the Prince George Spruce Kings next season. I am eager to continue my development on and off the ice with an organization committed to the success of their players, team and community.
