ROSTER UPDATE

Vernon, BC:   The Vernon Vipers would like to announce several roster changes as they prepare for this weekend’s games. These changes bring new talent and experience to the team, setting the stage for an exciting second half of the season.

Head Coach Lukas Lomicky expressed his enthusiasm for the new additions

“We were in a situation where we had room to add some bodies to our organization, and we are extremely pleased with the four additions. We have added size, experience, and players with tremendous upside. We look forward to seeing all four of these players contribute in a big way to the rest of the regular season and beyond.”

New Additions:

• Tyson Zimmer (Forward, 20)
  Zimmer joins the Vipers from the WHL and is committed to Niagara University, an NCAA Division 1 program. Hailing from Russell, Manitoba, he brings nearly 250 games of junior experience to the team.
• Jackson DeGraves (Forward, 2007-born)
  DeGraves comes from Edmonton, Alberta, and the Northern Alberta Xtreme U18 Prep team, where he has recorded 9 goals and 13 assists in 14 games this season.
• Jett Quaschnick (Defenseman, 2008-born)
  Quaschnick, also from Edmonton, joins the Vipers from the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. He boasts a strong hockey lineage as a relative of the Niedermayer family.
• Emils Skeltins (Defenseman, 19)
  Skeltins, a 6’5″ defenseman from Latvia, has been playing with Amarillo in the NAHL. He recently represented Latvia at the World Juniors, adding international experience to his resume.

In addition to these new arrivals, the team announces that Keeghan Dunn and Corban Almen have left the organization to pursue other opportunities.

“We’d like to wish Keeghan and Corban all the best in their future endeavors,” said Coach Lomicky. “We also extend a warm welcome to Tyson, Jackson, Jett, and Emils as they join the Vernon Vipers family.”

The Vipers look forward to seeing these new players in action as they continue their pursuit of success this season.
