La Salle hockey team to host fundraiser for veterans
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The La Salle Institute Hockey Team is hosting its annual Cadets for Vets fundraiser. It supports homeless veterans in the Capital Region through the Albany Housing Coalition.
Over $75,000 has been raised by the fundraiser since its start in 2017 and the goal is to reach over $100,000. Donations can be made by sending a check to the Albany Housing Coalition or La Salle Institute with the memo line "Cadets for Vets."
The fundraiser will occur at a hockey game on January 18 between La Salle and the Capital District Jets at Frear Park in Troy. All veterans get in for free and all proceeds collected will go to the Albany Housing Coalition.
