Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers are thrilled to announce the signing of 2004-born goaltender Jari Kykkanen.

Head Coach Lukas Lomicky shared his excitement about the addition:

“We had an opportunity to add a proven veteran goaltender with extensive experience in junior hockey, and we couldn’t pass on it. Jari brings a wealth of experience and talent to our team, and we’re confident he’ll be a strong addition to our program.”

Kykkanen, a 6’4″, 190-pound left-catching netminder from Lloydminster, AB, joins the Vipers after spending the last three seasons with the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets. Over 109 WHL games, he showcased his skills, with his best season featuring an impressive 28 wins.

The newest Viper expressed his enthusiasm for joining the team:

“I’m really excited to join the Vipers. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the program, and I’m looking forward to meeting the team and the community as I begin this new chapter in my career.”

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Jari Kykkanen and his family as they join the Vipers organization!
