The Prince George Spruce Kings dropped a 3-2 decision to the Chilliwack Chiefs in a shootout on Saturday night at Kopar Memorial Arena.

Brady Milburn responded for the Chiefs at 13:36 as they capitalized on a 5 on 3 power play with Olivier Beaulieu and Dakota MacIntosh.

The only goal in the middle frame was the Chiefs’ Mateo Mrsic who’s wrister fooled Carter Wishart to make it 2-1.

The Spruce Kings couldn’t capitalize on a 5 on 3 in the third period but moments after, Carter Hesselgrave poked one over the goal line to tie the game at 2. Kazumo Sasaki and Evan Bellamy drew the assists on Hesselgrave’s first of the season.
