Clippers add forward Alex Hebblethwaite

The Clippers have acquired 6’2”, 170-lb. forward Alex Hebblethwaite. The acquisition of the 19-year-old proved significant as Alex scored four goals in his first game for the Clippers. A 9-5 victory over the Surrey Eagles on Wednesday night. In six games with Trail and Nanaimo in the BCHL season, Alex has six goals and 2 assists for 8 points.

The Burlington native spent the 2023-2024 season with the Niagara Falls Canucks of the OJHL. Where in 41 games he scored 28 goals, had 27 assists for 55 points and 16 penalty minutes.

Coach Colin Birkas had this to say on acquiring Hebblethwaite: “He’s fast - just finds a way to score goals.  The BCHL is getting so fast as a league we felt a need to have speed all throughout the lineup - he fits with what we are trying to do.

Alex had this to say on coming to the Clippers: “I was very excited coming to the Clippers and can’t wait to fight with our group night in and night out. Truly honoured to be a Clipper.”

Alex is wearing #23.
