Vipers Add Mercyhurst Commit Will Schumacher
Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the signing of 2004 born forward Will Schumacher.
“We were looking to add a bit more experience in our forward group and we feel like Will is exactly what we needed,” says Head Coach of the Vipers Lukas Lomicky. “He is a relentless worker with scoring touch and he will bring these attributes to our team.”
The Prior Lake, MN product has spent the last two seasons with Wisconsin Windigo of the NAHL where he put up over a point a game. He had 42 points in 42 games as an 18 year old, then 58 points in 51 games last year.
“I’m really excited to join the BCHL and experience hockey in Canada,” says Schumacher. “I can’t be more excited and proud to do that with the Vernon Vipers.”
Schumacher is 5’11, 174 pounds and shoots left. He is committed to Mercyhurst for next season.
Please join us in welcoming Will and his family to the organization.
To make room on the roster for Schumacher, the Vipers have released forward Bronson Ross. We would like to thank Bronson for his contributions to the organization and wish him all the best moving forward.
