The Indian men’s hockey team will look to return to winning ways after suffering their first defeat at the hands of Belgium at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Thursday. The next match for Harmanpreet Singh’s side will not get any easier as they get ready to face the formidable Australia side in their final Pool B match on Friday (August 2).
India’s loss to Belgium on Thursday means that they have slipped to 3rd spot on the Pool B points table behind Australia, who have also lost only one match to the Belgians so far. A win for either of the two teams could help them finish in the second position ahead of the quarterfinals.
