Penguins scout Krissy Wendell-Pohl elected to Hockey Hall of Fame
Wendell-Pohl played for Team USA and for the University of Minnesota.
Krissy Wendell-Pohl, an amateur scout for the Pittsburgh Penguins, has been elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Wendell-Pohl was among seven people to be elected into the Hall of Fame on Tuesday.
During her playing career, Wendell-Pohl played for Team USA from 1999 to 2007.
Between the Olympics and World Championships, she won one gold medal, six silver medals, and one bronze medal during her international career.
She also played for the University of Minnesota for four seasons and
She won the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2005 for best female collegiate hockey player and was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2019.
In 2021, the Penguins hired Wendell-Pohl as an amateur scout, becoming the first woman in franchise history to work in that role.

Formal inductions into the Hall of Fame are set to take place on November 11.
