Nanaimo Clippers unveil 2024-25 schedule

NANAIMO, B.C. (June 20, 2024) — The Nanaimo Clippers will kick off their 2024-25 home schedule with their 52nd annual Home Opener on Friday, September 27th against the Chilliwack Chiefs, the team announced today.

That was one of 26 home game dates unveiled today as part of the team’s 2024-25 BCHL schedule.

The team will play fifteen home games on Friday nights, nine on Saturday nights, and two on Wednesdays.

All games will kick off at 7:00 PM except for Wednesday, November 20th, which will be the team’s second annual School Day Game, welcoming local students for an 11:00 AM puck drop against the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

Other key home dates include a back-to-back weekend against Interior Conference powerhouses Penticton and Vernon on November 29th and 30th, a pre-Christmas showdown among Island teams when Alberni Valley and Victoria come to Frank Crane Arena on December 13th and 14th, a four-game February homestand from the 8th to the 21st against four different conference opponents, and a March 7th battle against the defending Fred Page Cup champion Surrey Eagles.

The regular season will conclude on Saturday, March 29th when the Clippers host Surrey for the final time.

With the expansion of the BCHL to 21 teams, the Clippers will compete in the new five-team Coastal West division, alongside the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, Cowichan Valley Capitals, Powell River Kings, and Victoria Grizzlies.
