PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees have a busy week, playing three games in four days. The Vees host the Trail Smoke Eaters and Prince George Spruce Kings on Wednesday and Friday and visit the Merritt Centennials Saturday.
Here’s What’s on Tap:
Wednesday, Nov. 29th vs. Trail
- Game Sponsor: RE/MAX Penticton Realty.
- Doors: 5:30 pm. Puck drop: 6:30 pm
- RE/MAX Coats for Kids Night. RE/MAX Penticton Realty will be on hand to collect new or gently used kids winter outwear. Fans are encouraged to donate kids winter coats, snow pants, gloves, toques, and boots.
- Donations will go to BGC Okanagan and South Okanagan Women in Need Society.
- Every fan who brings a donation will be entered to win a Vees team-signed jersey.
- It’s another “Wicked Wednesday,” as adult and senior tickets are just $12. 12 oz domestic beer is $1 off at the Neighbourhood Hotdogs and 32oz soft drinks are also $1 off.
Friday, Dec. 1st vs. Prince George
- Game Sponsor: Marketplace IGA & Summerland IGA
- Doors: 6:00 pm. Puck drop: 7:00 pm.
- Marketplace IGA & Summerland IGA are back with their popular paper plate toss. 12 lucky fans at the game will win a turkey or ham, during the first intermission paper plate toss. Just in time for the holiday season!
- The six hams and six turkeys will be in cloth IGA bags, lined up on the face-off dots. Closest plate to each bag wins.
- Marketplace and Summerland IGA will be handing out their popular cloth bags and paper plates at the top of Gate 1.
Single game tickets are $19 for adults, $17 seniors. Youth 18 and under are free, courtesy of Peters’ Brothers Construction. Tickets are available at the Valley First box office at the SOEC, or online at www.valleyfirsttix.com
Vees in the Community:
- Thursday, Nov. 30th, Salvation Army Food Bank
- Vees’ players will be at the Salvation Army Penticton Food Bank from 9:30-11:00 am.
- Players will be on hand sorting and handing out food hampers. Local media in invited to attend.
- Sunday, Dec. 3rd, Magic on Main Street: Santa Claus Parade & Light Up
- The City of Penticton has partnered with the Downtown Penticton Business Improvement Association to present the Santa Claus Parade and Downtown Light Up.
- The Vees will take part in the parade, which begins at 4:30 pm along Main Street, from White Avenue to Lakeshore drive.
- The light up is at 6:00 pm at Gyro Park. The Vees are inviting families to play street hockey at the Penticton Outdoor Skating Rink after the parade. There are family-friendly activities, live music, and a mini market, with a heated tent and outdoor patio heaters.
