Prince George Spruce Kings announce home opener details
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings and Lheidli T’enneh First Nation are pleased to announce the 2023-2024 Home Opener against the Chilliwack Chiefs on Friday September 29th presented by Four Rivers Coop. The Spruce Kings are once again honoured to partner with Lheidli T’enneh First Nation in conjunction with the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Lheidli T’enneh First Nation Chief Dolleen Logan: “Lheidli T’enneh is pleased to partner with the Spruce Kings and Four Rivers Coop to host the 2023/2024 Season Home Opener. The game on Sept 29 is dedicated to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Sept 30th is always an important day for Indigenous people across Canada. On this day we think about the truth of Canada’s relationship with its Indigenous citizens and the truth is, the relationship has not always been good. Partnering with the Spruce Kings and Four Rivers Coop to host the Home Opener of the new season is really positive for everyone and another step forward on the Road to

The Spruce Kings will once again wear their special jersey designed by Local Indigenous artist Clayton Gauthier. Fans will be given an orange t-shirt on this day of awareness and commemoration while supplies last.
Pre-Game activities will begin outdoors at 5:00 pm with local indigenous dancers and drummers, as well as a BBQ. Funds raised will go to the Lheidli T’enneh Elders Society.
