0 9

DUNCAN, BC – The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce that defence man Aaron Brown has been named to the BCHL’s Top Prospects Game as part of All-Star Week in Penticton. The game features players listed on the NHL Central Scouting watch list, players born 2003 or later and named to the BCHL All-Star Game, and voted on by both NHL Central Scouting and Regional Scouts. The week features a scouting combine in front NHL and NCAA scouts on Thursday January 19th, and the game is Friday January 20th at the South Okanagan Events Centre, the home arena of the Penticton Vees.

Brown has recorded 3 goals and 11 points in 23 games this season, his first in the BCHL after splitting last season between the OJHL and the USHL. He started the season recording points in 5 consecutive games, totalling 1 goal and 6 assists during that time. Brown is committed to Quinnipiac University’s Mens Division 1 Hockey Program after graduating from junior hockey.

Joining Brown for the BCHL’s 60th anniversary All-Star Weekend will be Luke Strickland, who was named to the BCHL’s All Star 3 on 3 tournament back in November.
