Thursday night throwdown in WildTown

0 8
Thursday night in WildTown will feature a Maritime Division battle -- the 2nd place Wildcats take on 4th place Titan. The teams are separated by just a single point and have split their 2 games so far this season. Acadie-Bathurst are led by 2022 World Junior Champion & Canadiens' prospect Riley Kidney (13G, 28A) who could be playing his final game in a Titan uniform, as he will be highly sought after during the Christmas trading period and will likely be a member of Canada's 2023 World Junior team shortly. The Titan also have offensive weapons in 19 year-old Jacob Melanson (18G, 13A) and overager Ben Allison (17G, 14A). The Titan crease has been taken over by Russian netminder Sergei Litvinov since Czech Jan Bednar suffered an injury in late October Solid goaltending the last 2 games didn't result in any wins for the Wildcats, but it's not for lack of effort up front -- the Cats threw 70 shots at opposition goalies last weekend but couldn't find their scoring touch. The absence of Yoan Loshing for December is a big hole to fill,  but it looks like Charles Beaudoin & Thomas Auger are ready for a return to the lineup. 2022 draft pick Riley Sampson (Rd 7, #115) has been called up from Rothesay Netherwood to practice with the Wildcats this week. He will be ready to go, if needed. Buy tickets vs BAT: https://www.ticketmaster.ca/moncton-wildcats-vs-acadiebathurst-titans-moncton-new-brunswick-12-08-2022/event/31005CD7CC5A3BFD
