The Smoke Eaters are looking to not only close out their home stand with a win but kick off this four game mini series against the Wild on the right foot. The Smoke Eaters have fared well against Wenatchee when at home, with a 9-1-0 record between these two teams over the last five seasons. The Smoke Eaters won a track meet between the two back in October by a 7-5 score line as the Smoke Eaters would score the last two goals in a 5-5 game late in the third to pick up their first win on home ice for the season. The Smoke Eaters now will be hoping they can string together a run of results after a roller coaster of results over their previous four games.

Smoke Eaters leading scorers:

Fechko (6-11-17)
Remissong (8-7-15)
Parsons (7-8-15)
 Bushy (3-11-14)
Hunter (3-11-14)

The Wild come to Trail after picking up a big win in Cranbrook last week as they continue their strong play through the month of November. After what was a tough October for the Wild, who lost five in a row to close out the month, Wenatchee has flipped the script through November, winning 5 of their last six games and winning their last four. With a string of games on home ice the Wild knocked off teams like Salmon Arm, Victoria, West Kelowna and Cranbrook with the first three being home ice wins. The task now for Chris Clark and his team is to translate those results on the road, where the Wild have a 3-7-0-1 record this year.

Wild leading scorers:

Somoza (7-14-21)
Littler (10-8-18)
Weilandt (9-9-18)
Hejduk (4-11-15)
Horn (6-7-13)

Puck drop between the Smoke Eaters and the Wild is set for 7:00PM tonight at Cominco Arena. Make sure to buy your tickets ahead of time and skip the lines at tickets.trailsmokeeaters.com. If you can’t make it to the arena, catch all the action with Smoke Eaters broadcaster Ben Phillips and colour commentator Rob Squires on HockeyTV and on Mixlr!
