Last Game: The Vees improved to 3-0-0-0 with a 6-1 victory Friday in Salmon Arm. After a scoreless first period, Penticton broke through in the second, scoring three times. They added three more in the third en route to their first road win of the season. The Vees outshot the Silverbacks 30-8 over the final two periods, including 16-2 in the third.

It was a big night for the Nadeau brothers and Dovar Tinling, as the trio combined for seven points in the win. Josh Nadeau had three points (1G, 2A) and Bradly Nadeau (1G, 1A) and Tinling (0G, 2A) had a two points each. Depth was on display, as all four lines had at least a point.

Through three games, the Vees have outscored their opponents 20-3.

Tonight’s Game: Penticton and West Kelowna renew their Highway 97 rivalry, as tonight is the first of seven meetings in the regular season. It’s also a rematch of the 2022 Interior Division Final, which the Vees won in four straight. Lots of returnees on both sides, so the juices should be flowing. Penticton is looking to keep their perfect record intact but it won’t be easy, as the Warriors are off to a 3-0 start, after they dispatched the Wenatchee Wild 7-4 Friday in their home opener.

Josh Nadeau has scored in each of the first three games of the season and he and brother Bradly are tied atop of the BCHL scoring race with seven points. Defenceman Josh Niedermayer sits fourth in BCHL scoring with six assists in three games.

The Warriors scored five times on nine power plays for their third win in three games. Four Warriors had two-point nights, including Jaiden Moriello who had a pair of goals. Justin Katz picked up the win in net, as he stopped 27 of 31 shots. It was 1-0 West Kelowna heading into the second period, before the two teams combined for a six-goal middle frame, with the Warriors scoring four times. It was a back and forth third period, as the two teams each scored twice.
